Founded by Aidan S. Wells - an NYC-based music director, pianist, photographer/videographer, and producer, AfterThought Production was established to be an umbrella entity housing cabaret productions, media services, and a number of other projects, workshops, and masterclasses.

Boot Scootin’ Broadway
At 9:30PM on July 11th, 2025, at Chelsea Table+Stage, Afterthought presents a concert of country-style classics from across the musical theatre canon. Featuring a mix of everything from “Oklahoma!” to “Shucked,” there’s sure to be something for everyone! The performance is produced by Lily Parker and Carly Rubin in association with AfterThought Production.
PHINEAS & FERB: Done Wrong
Join us on July 14th at 9:30pm at The Green Room 42 for a reimagining or everyone’s favorite cartoon brothers, Phineas & Ferb! Experience fresh takes on Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh’s iconic tunes like “Busted,” “Gitchee Gitchee Goo,” and “Ain’t Got Rhythm.” Featuring a cast of sensational storytellers ready to celebrate all 104 days of summer vacation with you in this one-night concert extravaganza! Produced by Taylor Lynn with AfterThought Productions. Music direction by Aidan S. Wells.

Every project is conceived, rehearsed, and executed with the intent on building a more collaborative community - specifically focused on each individual involved feeling like the product best serves their unique artistic voice and perspective, whether thought the material, arrangement, location, theme, or style. AfterThought strives to raise the artistic expectations for even the smallest project by being creativity and people-focused, in an age where second-stage projects are becoming more and more product-focused.

Murder? Mystery? Mother’s Day? And More!:
A premiere cabaret of its kind - this was the first of AfterThought’s devised cabarets. The performance consisted of an entirely original plot and new jazz arrangements of classic musical theatre songs to tell a murder mystery story in a sung-through cabaret format.
